Earth Trotter Photos is a team of global photography enthusiasts, led by photographer, Chris Taylor. Their goal is bringing the world to anyone and everyone – no matter their location.
Chris travels the globe, records his experiences digitally and shares them all here with you. Chris’ portfolio ranges from beaches to architecture; from cities to natural wonders. He features his images on lightweight aluminum canvas. The result is stunning — the images are crisp, and pop right off of the metal. Add mood to any room with ETP images.
Chris grew up in the mountains of Colorado, and his love for photography blossomed at an early age. After receiving his first camera (a cheapie Kodak 110 film camera) for Christmas, Chris’ dog became probably the most photographed pup in all of Colorado. After college, Chris headed west to Southern California. Though ETP's portfolio is diverse, it’s no surprise Chris' favorite subjects usually include mountains or beaches.
Sunrise and sunset are Chris’ favorite times to shoot, because he loves color and the crazy things the sky does during those times of day. Long exposure is his favorite technique because it "combines the realism of the landscape with the surrealism of the motion. The picture itself reflects the mood of the environment -- whether it be tranquil or frenzied."
Chris has since upgraded from his first little Kodak camera. He now prefers his Canon 5D for a few reasons; the lenses are crystal clear, the camera offers flexibility with respect to lighting and the type of photo that can be shot, and the camera simply captures the world, the way Chris sees it wherever he happens to be.
